Publication Ethics
Responsibilities of Authors
The International Journal for Scientific Research in Modern Engineering and Science (IJSRMES) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity.
The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and other participants in the publication process to act honestly, responsibly, transparently, and professionally.
Authors are responsible for:
- Ensuring that submitted work is original.
- Providing accurate and complete research information.
- Properly acknowledging and citing sources.
- Ensuring that all listed authors have made meaningful contributions.
- Obtaining necessary permissions for copyrighted material.
- Declaring relevant conflicts of interest.
- Disclosing funding or financial support where applicable.
- Avoiding fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and duplicate publication.
- Correcting significant errors discovered after publication.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript.
All listed authors should:
- Approve the final manuscript.
- Agree to the submitted version.
- Accept responsibility for their contribution to the work.
Individuals who provided assistance but do not qualify for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged where applicable.
Research Misconduct
IJSRMES does not tolerate research or publication misconduct, including:
- Fabrication of data.
- Falsification of data.
- Plagiarism.
- Duplicate publication.
- Unethical research practices.
- Manipulation of images or results.
- Improper authorship.
- Citation manipulation.
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest.
Allegations of misconduct may be investigated by the editorial team. Where appropriate, the journal may request clarification or supporting documentation from authors or their institutions.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose any financial, professional, personal, or other interests that could influence the publication process.
Conflicts should be declared as early as possible.
Ethical Research
Authors are responsible for ensuring that research involving human participants, animals, personal information, or other sensitive material complies with applicable ethical requirements.
Where required, appropriate ethical approval, informed consent, or other documentation should be obtained before submission.
Corrections and Retractions
If a significant error or ethical problem is identified after publication, IJSRMES may publish a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction as appropriate.
Retraction may be considered where published findings are demonstrably unreliable, involve serious misconduct, plagiarism, unauthorized material, or other significant ethical or legal concerns.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions should be based primarily on the academic quality, relevance, originality, and integrity of the manuscript and should not be improperly influenced by commercial or personal interests.
